We've had strange weather in the past 24 hours. Last week gradually warmed up to having upper 80's on Sat. & Sun. Then at 4:00 yesterday, a front came through and the temp dropped 15 degrees. Now it's 53 degrees. Brrrr.

Overcast and cloudy, thunder in the distance. I will take more rain. I don't want any more oaks dying on me, they are too close to my house. Trying to get the grass back under control, we weren't cutting bc of the drought, it seemed to die faster when we cut. Since the rain it has really went crazy, so now we have to get it back under control, too much trim work, I am gonna have to remedy that by next year.

No a cloud in the sky!! Weve had rain everyday since the 3rd. There wasnt rain in the forecast yesterday but it did rain.

But I think everything will get a chance to dry out today.

Hot as Hades in the deep south today. Our thunder in the distance yesterday turned into a nice shower, but everything has soaked in by today. That means our underground water table level is still low. Did get all of the grass cut yesterday, and about 90% of the trim work done. I don't think we will get any rain today, but you never know.

Our forecast for last night and today was 80% chance of thunderstorms. Last night we got .2 inch of rain. We drove home from town tonight and it was raining hard enough it was difficult to see. We got home and we hadn't got a drop. Next time may be our turn.

About 80 here with a cool breeze to keep it from feeling that hot - a bit of clouds moving in with the sunset now, so I think we'll get a little sprinkle or two.

I will not whine, I will not whine, I will not....oh the heck with lying about it Yes I will Whine.
100 yesterday with a feels like temp of 105, which means the humidity was in the 70-80% range.

Other than almost a month ago we got 1/4inch and most recently, 1/8 inch on July 2 and 1/8 inch on July 4th, my yard is in day 66 of no rain. And we have entered the normally hottest and driest two months of the year.

102 yesterday and again today, and when the humidity level is factored in the feels like temp as been 105 both days. No rain in sight for at least 5-7 more days. :'(
