It's hot and humid here. If you move, you are soggy. DR went to take a shower. He can't be any wetter though. A few sprinkles yesterday and none today. I wouldn't mind humid if there was rain but no matter how soggy we get, it doesn't help the water table or the plants. Dooley

Finally the weather has cooled , today's temps will be 19 to 23 degrees Celsius . Still no rain and all the plants are showing signs of stress. Out with the hose is the only answer

Sigh... what a long week this is, waiting for the heat to break! We are still mostly cooped up inside, with it up around 99 today. Hardly a breath of breeze, which is unusual here. Time to go to the movies or some other place air-conditioned! Thankfully our church has A/C, so this morning is covered.

The plants are okay so far, I keep watering them in the evening and the few that are real heat-lovers are thinking this is great.

Really nice day here today. Temperature is only 86, humidity only 43, and we actually got about an inch of rain yesterday which was nice to see. We still are about 12 inches behind in the rain department but maybe we'll get more this coming week. It was so pleasant when I walked outside this morning and didn't get that smothered feeling. It makes you want to smile....[IMG]

Since last weekend when our weather changed the temps have been running between 5-10 degrees less hot than before. Still in the upper 90's, hovering just under 100+. Not as bad as the previous two weeks, but still no rain so we are still about 25 inches behind for the last 18 months.

We are hot here with high humidity. Gene is out mowing the lawn before it hits 90, it was 81 when he started. There is a chance of scattered thunderstorms the next 4 days but that means scattered elsewhere.

Another rainy day here, but I don't mind. I think we may have finally caught up.
