Still hitting 100+ around here and no rain in sight. There was a slight hope for rain if Tropical Storm Chris had become a hurricane and come into Texas strong enough to send waves of rain this far north, but I just heard on the weather that the storm is falling apart. So we are back to no rain in the foreseeable future for us.

IKEA just opened a large store in North Texas, haven't been there yet but I did get a catalog in the mail and we just may have to check it out.

Yesterday and today were both nice. In the low 80's and not too humid.

Saturday and Sunday, no rain, high in the 80's. What will tomorrow bring? Scattered or isolated showers is what the forecast says. Who knows? Dooley

The saying "the more it changes the more it stays the same" fits our weather reports. The weather report changes every day but the weather is always the same, hot and dry.

After it had been in the upper 90's to 100+ with no rain. We're about 30 inches of rain behind the norm for the last 18 months according to the weather peeps.
Today, for my little sliver, no different.
I did watch rain on the radar skip south and then north of my area, I mean within a few miles. I could see it raining "way over there" from my front yard. It was so disappointing. Maybe next time?

Well it's still hot, muggy and dry here. High today about 98 and heat index into the 100's. No real rain in sight. Chance of thundershowers but that's a hit or miss thing.

After all the rain on Thursday and Friday, my plants were wilting this morning. I had to wash the rosemary bush. It acquired spittlebugs. Dooley

Going up to 102-103 today, 100 yesterday. Feels like temp is running about 5 degrees higher than that.

We got about 1/4 inch of rain on Monday and the long range outlook for our area is for the drought conditions to worsen thru October...at least.

Still no rain here either, which is unusual, but we have some promisingly dark grey clouds this morning, so I'm hopeful. The temps here haven't been too bad, mostly in the high 70s or low 80s with enough scatterings of cloud to keep it friendly outside.
