It's clear here today. We had a lot of rain on Wednesday and it was cloudy and thundery yesterday. No rain though, not here anyway.
When we were going up the hill through all that rain on Wednesday afternoon we drove through a spot with almost no rain. The pavement looked dry. So, I opened my big mouth and told DR that it looked like we were out of the rain. No sooner said than it started pouring again.
So, now I've figured out why Toni isn't getting any rain. Her husband bought her a new BIG rain guage.

Dooley I think you are right about the large rain gauge , it is just too large and scary for the rain to want to fall into.

On a hot and continued dry note, yesterday was 103 and today will be that or a couple of degrees hotter.

Cooler here the last today - didn't reach 70. It was nice after work - I even got my husband to help with some weeding a very rare thing for him to do.

It was a few degrees cooler today still in the 90's but lower 90's. We had a little rain overnight and thought we were suppose to get more today, but didn't. Every little bit helps though -- we are still behind.

It was raining when I left work today. DR and I went for a sandwich before we came home. It was sunny in Prescott. There was an outside car show at the mall. As we were coming home we could see a rainbow and a few lightning strikes. The closer we got to home, the wetter the pavement was. As we crossed Big Bug Creek, I saw there was water in it. There were big puddles. Everything was soggy. The tub in the yard was overflowing. Dan says it poured rain for over half an hour and then slowed down and then poured again. I bet we got over two inches of rain. That's three times this week that we have had that much or more. Our water table must be liking that a lot. The weeds sure do. I like it. It's cool for sleeping tonight. Dooley

I am really wondering where the below 100 temps they promised for this weekend went. Yesterday was 105 and today should be about 101.

We did get to drive thru some rain yesterday on our mini vacation....it was 30 miles north of here and again my yard got nothing, but it was really treat to drive thru it.

Today is a little cloudy and our temps are lower in the high 80's. Quite a nice change. Think we are suppose to go back to the 90's this coming week, but not the high 90's or 100s.

It got dark and rumbled thunder here this morning, but no rain. It's still dark and cloudy. Not too hot, but humid. Dooley

It rumbled thunder here off and on all day, but we only had a sprinkle or two of rain. One clap of thunder seemed to be right overhead. Chance sent it on it's way in a hurry. I bet it rained up in Prescott or Prescott Valley because it was really dark up that way. I think that one storm passed just to the north. It is still wet here from yesterday. I couldn't go in the garden this morning, it was too soggy. Dooley

Had a thunderstorm here earlier. That's the third one in about a week. It's funny to look out in the street and see people cycling who hadn't expected the sudden burst of rain :D

    Morning all.

Today was bill paying day. Opening the bill for electricity is sooooo scary. Only 5 more payments on my car!!!!
The curtains, blinds and shutters are closed on all windows so I am set for ignoring another hot day.
