Do you collect a specific line or style. I assume you are speaking of fashion jewelry. I was a QVC shopper, but can't afford it any longer. Have found that the fashion jewelry fits my taste and definitely budget!

Ehm . . no, no specific line or style. Just anything that catches the eye. I use to do alot of bead work, so I have plenty of jewelry that I've made, jewelry to match outfits, gifts I've received, etc. They're just such fun accessories!

fortunate for you Kuntrygal-living alone. My husband just can't deal with the purple bedspread, don't think he'd be too happy with purple walls either. Since my desk is mine, I could go for more purple on it. So many things to collect "purple".

I collect hostas, other plants and Norwegian stamps. My collection doesn't take up much room indoors. My husband, on the other hand collects paraffine burners, irons, scales, telephones, old record players and records, cameras, weapons, stones, coins, bottles and I'm sure I've forgotten something now... Yes, historical artifacts concerning our area. He doesn't want a lot of most of his stuff, though, he just wants to show the development in i.e. the telephone, camera etc. We need a bigger house, preferably with a barn.

About 30 years ago I collected Owls, gave them all away when I moved back to Texas. Thought about collecting pretty tea cups a few years back but got tired of cleaning them. Collected fabrics for the 17yrs I quilted now I am trying to sell it all off...all except the almost 250 pieces of snowflake print fabrics I have.

Now days I collect dust bunnies and cobwebs, they are pretty much self maintaining so I don't have to clean them and since they hang around in places I don't need for other things, i.e. under furniture or up in corners, I don't have to find a place to put them when the collection is added to.
I collect wrinkles and gray hairs, they are free and since they just appear...frequently  I don't have to go shopping for them and they seem to really love living with me.

My funnest collection is hugs and kisses from my grandsons...much better than the aggrivation I used to collect from their mother.

Toni, I love the comments about your 'dust bunnies' and cob webs. I forgot to mention those in my list of items I collect.
And the aggrivation from the kid(s). In my case, I have two grown kids, that I most of the time would like to deny!

I don't really set out to collect things, they just find me. Books are my biggest dustcatchers (tho I do read them). Most of my "nonnessisary" stuff is to make my house cozy (really, it feels like an ancient English cottage in here). And some china that I inherited but, other than my daily foray with the tea things, never use. But one collection seems to have "chosen" me. Old cameras. I had a couple and put them with my old b&w family photos from the 50's and earlier. Then I sorta just keep finding more at garage sales. I never pay more than 2 bucks for something so nonuseful, but still I have some pretty neato ones. And they go really well with the ol' photos! If I could afford it I'd collect stained glass windows and use them all in my dream cottage. (O good grief, looking around, I actually do have 6 of them!)

Old marbles, I started collecting them by accident. Two little boys, Mark and Victor, friends sons, started giving them to me. My favorite is a cobalt blue.

Also, plants, especially daylilies, angels, old glass, or any glass to make totems, garden junk, and my newest collection, crosses.

I like snowmen and pretty old dishes. I love jadeite but only have 1 set of shakers. I used to collect the old glass orange juicers or reamers. Still have quite a few. I've taken a liking to old glass milk bottles and little creamers too :-D

I love collecting sea shells and stones of different shapes and hues. I have some very pretty smooth stones that I wanted converted into pendants with some added designing on the sides. Haven't gotten around to doing it yet. This post was a reminder. Should get them out from the back of my cabinet. Also, any good ideas about what can be done with sea shells?

    Bad, bad Deanna!
    I've had a hey-day on e-bay this week searching for those little itty-bitty Hagen-Renaker kitties ;)
I have a few sitting on the curio shelf in my office. They don't do a thing but collect dust but they are soooooooo cute! They have several different ones but all of mine are the Siamese. I love the markings on them and the fact that they are so little.

Well if you asked my family they would say shoes. But my shoes are not a collection, but good friends. My mother had a huge salt and pepper collection that she upped and gave to me (she is living) It is so large I can't display them all, but I continue to add to it and will eventually display it in its entirety. I mean tons of S&P shakers.

I collect bowls,, but i use them all too. glazed crock bowls, wood rosemåling bowls, knots from trees that were made into bowls, most i haven't bought but was given to me thru my in-laws when they seen that i would really look at a bowl they had,, next thing i new they would come for coffee an cake, an bring the bowl filled with cakes an tell me to keep it here. so i use them as much as i can. I didn't intend to collect them but i sure cherish them because of the love they was given to me in.
