A saté (peanut sauce) green bean dish with ground beef, onions, paprika strips, rice and a packeted mix.
Bread dressing with mushrooms, yeast bread dinner rolls, green bean casserole (2nd try without added salt, much better), candied sweet potatoes with walnuts and raisins. Enough left over for a second day. There was no room for pumpkin pie, so that happens later. I found the sweet potato recipe in my mom's 65 year old cookbook. I should look there more often.
I looked up Sperziebonen using the search engine's translate function. Isn't the technology amazing? Is that the word for green beans?
Tinned tomatoes on toast and some fried potatoes that were already cooked. Hubby had a toasted sausage sandwich and a fried egg sandwich, it's the only day that we have different things.
Chicken wings, rice and steamed zucchini. Tomorrow, Swedish meat balls and gravy (via Costco), egg noodles and steamed broccoli.
Red Neck Fondue tonight with Greek Salad. ( aka...sauteed strip loin bits, sauteed pork loin bits and sauteed chicken breast). Sauces to dip are creamy horseradish, madras curried creamy honey mustard and creamy hickory BBQ). We used to love to fondue...but now we like going to bed early better
We had tortellini formaggio with Swiss chard and chicken. Mel, that RN Fondu sounds fab. Well done you. You guys do eat well, don’t you.
It is Nasi Goring made from scratch. The Bride went to the internet to get some ingredient and flavouring ideas. We had everything in-house, including frozen boiled rice. it is a typical Indonesian and Malayan dish. Above is a pic of her work in progress. Oh my heavenly days, that was so good!
I had to look this up...that looks really good! Did you use the special soy sauce I read about - Kecap manis? I'm going to add to this to my winter things to try list.
