Today I set up a little germinating pot with soiless mix and valerian seed.

The seed is a couple years old and maybe it will still grow. Even if they are a dubb, I have a couple plants in ground to make seed this year or next.

I took all the plants that I over wintered in the greenhouses out and put them outside again. Our forecast doesn't show any temps below 50 at night until probably October.

It's 83 degrees out and I have about half the grass mowed.taking a break. It has been known to go from winter to summer here like ya flip a switch. I am beginning to worry about my spring stiff I planted last week. broc and cauliflower are looking kinda wilty in the steamy heat. Come to think about it, so am I.

It's currently a record high of 86 outside today, so I got out and transplanted some tulips and iris that were in a berm we're removing and putting back to grass. Don't know if they'll bloom this year or not, but at least hopefully they'll be saved. Too wet to clean out any more gardens, but made plans to change some things, filled the bird baths, replaced broken hoses.

Hi. General tidying but mainly have been busy paintng/treating new fences we have had erected on two sides of the plot. Checking the rainwater butts (9) - they are vital here. Syd.

Nothing absolutely NOTHING. To cold and our temps get down into the low 30's and 20's. I am so ready for Spring.

Snowed yesterday... Nothing happening outdoors here.
But I did plant seeds a few weeks ago and have sprouts for Beefsteak toms, Plum toms, peppers and one watermelon. My eggplant isn't showing itself yet.
We didn't get to move that shade bed last autumn, so we'll have to do it this spring. Ugh. I was hoping to not have to rush to get the big jobs done and possibly end up delaying planting. Oh well.

We got snow overnight...I had ordered some bulbs from a place and they sent me an e-mail saying they already sent them. Not sure where they get their information from but we don't plant things until closer to the end of April at the earliest. Friday is suppose to be only in the 20's and the bulbs are in transit. They most likely will get mushy if they freeze. I won't order again from them, I don't like having to wait a whole year to replace them if they get mushy.o_O
