Did some weeding in the back garden, picked some more blackberries and some watering.

Growingpains yes and the blackberries, this year didn't grow any cucumbers I have to have them in the conservatory and last year didn't do well, so kept the space for the chillies.

Thank you Growingpains, I freeze them and pickle some of them in malt vinegar and then use them like that to go into fried red onions and garlic, some of that will go on the dinner, but not the Sunday dinner.

Logan, what is different about Sunday dinner? Guests abstain from garlic?
Church and garlic don't mix? :worried:

Nothing much just watered the hanging baskets and deadheading the flowers.

Chucked some more compost on the filled in pond and gave the acer a lot more water.
I managed to get the last two small bags of mortar from the village hardware shop. I've enough now to finish relaying the coping under the lantern and do a bit of pointing.
More searches on the internet for small rectangular paving blocks was fruitless.
Ordered half a dozen cyclamen on eBay.

Weeded. Harvested veg for bbq burgers later today. Went on a reed hunt, removing them from the canal along our gardens as well as digging-up a couple of interlopers in the blueberry patch. More blueberries to harvest.

Loggie, your peps are beautiful to see.

Same here. Though I did take half a dozen bin bags down to the tip with the old pool liners.
On the way back I had to go into Sainsbury's for some shopping.
Guess what? There was none in there on Friday, but today they had some trays of cyclamen!
So I bought four trays, 8 white, 8 pink, at £3.50 a tray. The ones I've ordered on eBay are bigger, I might plant them with others we have along the length of the long border.

I left 'arry a handful of more straw outside his house last night and he must have taken it in, hopefully, before it started to rain.
