I watered and chatted with everything because apparently talking to plants is what I do now...o_O Oh, and I also did a little happy dance when I noticed that I have peppers on both pepper plants! It's no wonder my neighbors keep eyeing me suspiciously :suspicious:

Yes, but that "happy dance" is a real give-away every time! Your neighbors will soon learn an avid gardener may be a bit strange, but basically harmless.

Unless they grow Zucchini then the harmless part comes to an end.

I have started some pole bean seeds & lettuce seeds in the basement. I'm trying to give them a head start against the bugs. The bugs got the first leaves on a bunch of my beans......the leafless bean stalks are growing & growing without benefit of leaves! I guess no one has told the roots yet that it is hopeless...

Vincenza, my peas finally have flowers! I was doing my happy dance in the community garden yesterday with only the birds as an audience.

Just got in from picking tomatoes, and found three more cucumbers (whoopee, not). I think it was back in January I posted I'd give most anything for a fresh cucumber. The Cuke god must have heard me, because we've been inundated with cukes this year. At least they are easier to give away than zucchini.
Going back outside to cut some roses for a bouquet, then inside to clean house. Someone has to do it, and no one is volunteering!

I pulled up the jonny jump up pansies that had seeded themselves in the garden. I needed to that before they self seeded themselves all over it. Also pulled up some that was crowding some of my perennials and did a little weeding.

Sjoerd, how hard is it to grow pak choi? Does it require a long growing season?

This morning I did my watering, and I'm mostly just waiting on my Romas to ripen.

The vines are now as tall as I am (6'2").

Also, for those who may be interested, I sat in the garden and roasted some coffee (Burundi roasted to City).

Tried to attach a hose to an outside tap, no luck yet.

Probably need to get my son to take a look.

I picked tomatoes, and picked, and picked . . . . Will someone make a note to remind me in January to NOT start so darned many tomatoes?
I also pulled the last of the carrots--I now have a gallon bag of carrots in the fridge, waiting to go to the food pantry on Monday. Perhaps I can take some tomatoes, too?
The roses need dead-heading, but that will wait until tomorrow morning when the humidity is lower, and my strength is higher.
