    Will do mate, will do.
We heed the warnings on these dramatic occasions. The youtubes and the news reports are coming in already. The first person has died already. It is sad and unnecessary.
The trains, planes and busses have stopped for the time being.

The trees all still have green leaves, so they will catch more wind. It will be good when this is over.

Thanks for your concern, my friend.

Thanks for posting that. I could post our telly weather report, but no one would be able to understand it. Haha. Yeah, it was a mean one.

We just got the message that the Code Orange was ended. Now there are torrential rains forecast.

Those are scary events Sjoerd. I'm happy to hear you and yours are safe and sound. We are hunkered down for a freezing rain and snow event that should last a couple of days. Yesterday was the last of the winter chores. The debris from the woodshed needed to be burned. We usually wait for snow, but it has not arrived yet. Until this morning. The snow plough was covered with a tarp to keep the freezing rain and snow off of the skids and hydraulic hook ups. The last of the wood that was left by the barn was burned. And some deadheading of the memory garden went in the burn pile after weeners were cooked.

This meant hotdogs! So I tried a new recipe and a new England bun pan - and Hubby said they turned out great.

The hot dog was waiting for a hot dog.

Just in time for this stuff....

Great foto’s, Mel. It was cool hearing how the winter there is beginning.
I enjoyed seeing the pics of the festivities. Then there was snow…..
    Burrrrrr.

Did some weeding in one of the borders and cut down one of the Japanese anemone.

@mel, I hope the doggie got a hot dog! Hi Angus:setc_034:

Here, there wasn't a lot happening in the garden. I still had a few bulbs to plant, so did that. Picked a box of Jonathan apples for baking. Jonathans were a variety in my parents' yard 60 years ago.

I am jealous that you still have apples, Daniel.
Are you going to do something spectacular with them in the kitchen?

Something called "Apple Pie Bars", which look a bit like apple pie but without the pie and have a crunchy topping. Something new for us.

    The persimmons are almost ready.

They are lovely but I don't know what to do with the fruits.

They are lovely to see. BTW— do opossums get up in the trees and eat them there?
Oh, the apple pie bars. I would love to see those.

There are possums here. They love the grapes but so far are not into the persimmons.

They look great Daniel, we used to buy them and cut up to go on our breakfast. It all depends on what you want from them, there's a lot of videos on YouTube about them, 3 ways that I've seen is you can make jam, dry them and make bread.

I went out and cut back the raspberries and blackberries. I still need to get them to the curb for pick-up. The snow and cold set me back a little. Mainly the cold since doing this is a weekend job and the snow was the middle of the week. 16992035963766020812690838579684.jpg

Still waiting for my tree to shed its leaves. It's done some and I may go out and rake a pile then mow them for the gardens. I'll see how I feel after lunch.

Nobody seemed to be ready. The next day, at the school was very quiet with so many staff and students out. It's all gone now.
