I miss that bright UFO in the sky that we refer to as the sun. It’s so rarely seen in winters.

It'll be Spring before you know it, Pac!

Here in Battleground, there is chill but mostly just rain. Perfect for the roses that I planted that have 1" pale tender growth that can acclimate before it gets sunny.

Today I planted the Boscobel rose into its container. That's all of the new roses. I also up-potted the rest of the pepper plants into 4" pots.

It rained off and on and was in mid 50s F.

I set the mini roses outside in sun / clouds for half the day. They are looking vigorous.

I pruned the Vaness Bell English Rose a little more. It's in a container. I want it to remain compact. The branches are about one foot long now. I didn't want to prune off new growth but I did.

Planted these lily bulbs in a somewhat falling apart half wine barrel. Four bulbs per packet. I bought them two months ago, kept in a cool spot.

Here are the three wheeled container David Austin Roses.

They can be moved out of sun, or into sun, or turned around easily as needed now.

I bought 4 of those caddies. Wheel was broken off for one. Returning is such a hassle. I wonder if I can drill through the steel frame and install a bolt-stem castor?

Some of the up-potted pepper plants.

I noted the Thai peppers need up-potting too. Tomorrow. Now I wish I tried poblanos for the alliteration - Up-potting pretty poblano pepper plants for the patio. Oh well.

No gardening, just checked the cameras.

One visitor. Seems bigger than last year. In and out in an hour. Must have been lunchtime, as the pellets in the feeder have been eaten.

Up potted the last three peppers, Thai peppers. As usual lately, took the mini roses outside for the day. That's about all.

Was in the 60s today and low 70s yesterday. My chives are coming through the leaves but I won't uncover them until late April.... Just in case. If I remember right the other picture is grape hyacinth. 17103732753571124825179481048737.jpg 17103733411731914069021200765190.jpg

I worked cleaning out one of my many flower beds. I have it just over halfway done. I have some transplants to share with a friend in a bucket waiting to take to her at church.

Onions are up all over the place, even many in my compost. I guess I will dig them out and move them someplace. Parsley is up and going. Everything is sprouting and leafing out. Peonies are up, garden sage, blue sage, red sage, some of my roses have leaves, berries have leaves, daffodils all blooming, grape hyacinths, old fashioned hyacinths, forsythias blooming, red flowering quince in full bloom, white spireas blooming, fruit trees blooming, redbud trees blooming, and many others full of buds and baby leaves... I have carrots from last year still growing too. My rhubarb looks good. And my comfrey is just sprouting up today..

I planted a couple of ostrich plume ferns yesterday. My hollyhocks say to wait until April to plant them, so I will wait.

I transplanted those "yellow lilies" someone gave me. They are daffodils, but he did not know.

I have been trying to get two garden hoses apart for a long time, and the past few days. I finally used my utility knife to cut the old worn out hose off. I hope DS can get the connector off when he is home again.

I want to get my potatoes planted, and some carrot seed, spinach, lettuce, beets, thyme, chives, dill, and more planted as soon as I can. It is time to plant my potatoes. Corn and tomatoes and melons and cukes and peppers need to wait until May or so to plant.

My indoor seedlings were doing so poorly that I dumped them in a bucket and will just add the soil out in the garden.

I need to get out in Horsey's pasture and get some poo to make manure tea for my blueberry bushes and other plants.

I am still waiting on the aspargus to sprout.

We had a big storm move through here this evening. The weather app said 80 mph winds, and we had high winds and rain etc...
