I have the 56v for the Ego and got my replacements for $129 off Amazon.
The Greenworks rider takes 6 80v batteries and they are around $85. but it will run even off 2 or 4 batteries, just not for an hour and a half as it will with 6 batteries in it.

Back on topic, I've been mowing with the Greenworks rider. Right now I'm charging my batteries. I have a tray full of something, I have no idea what I had sown in that tray !! :smt044
I'll find out when and if they flower. I'm going to plant those out after I eat something.

Hubby's been doing some weeding, planted some potted hyacinths and trying to clear the brambles that have got behind the currant bushes.

I have reasons but I think it might be an idea to ask @Frank to take these posts on electric v petrol out of this thread and create a separate thread, it's an interesting topic :)

Made this barrow full of compost out of trees :)

It's a mixture of sieved composted wood chip and leafmold. Been filling these pots to plant out potatoes, parsnips & carrots.

No one around here will mow my place for only $50. I tried to let someone else mow once when we had a terrible heatwave. He charged $60, and did a terrible job. He didn't do any touch ups or trim work around the edges or under bushes, and it was very sloppy, and less than an hour of work. He had all kinds of brand new machinery and vehicle and trailer to haul it all. That was more than a day's wages for me. His excuse was that he 'had a sick kid.' I had expenses and health issues myself. When I mow my yard, with my rider ( I did not own a rider at the time this happened), it takes about 4 hours, plus several hours with the push to do rough places and trim work. If I do my whole yard with a push mower, it will take 2-3 days to mow it all. I never called him again.

I do my own work as much as I can.

I did not get anything but pet chores done today. A friend came by to check out the damages to my porch roof, and will come back Thursday to do a temporary patch for now. I have some old firewood he can have, and some trees he can cut down for firewood for himself. We talked a lot.
