I called our cleaning man and asked if he could come before Friday...he said yes!! The health department visit is postponed for now. Our morning rain has stopped, Sharon. I am hoping for some this PM. We do have a sprinkler system. I ran it the first month we needed it and my water bill was $70.00. I decided the garden would make it on its own. I need that money to pay the cleaning man. Jan
Hi! I didn't accomplish much yesterday. I did move some things around in the living room so I could fit a small filing cabinet near the computer desk. I didn't think I could get another thing in this room but I did it. Today, I got up and saw that the grape juice I made on Friday was still in the refrigerator so I decided I'd better do something with it. DR said I could freeze it, but I looked in the freezer and decided nothing was going to fit in there. I made six small 8 oz jars and two pint jars and had juice left so went to the dollar store and bought some more jars. We also stopped at the bank and the post office. When we came home, I made nine 8 ounce jars. I have two cups of juice left so I did freeze it. I will mix it with apple juice another day for grape/apple jelly. Now, we are going to go early to work and do some shopping. I have to work 5 to 9 pm today. Maybe I should go take a nap. It's only 11 am so we don't have to go shopping yet. Dooley
Yesterday we spent the morning in the Doc's office to be told to come back Thursday. We went grocery shopping and spent more than I expected and then came home for lunch. Then back to Springfield for hair cuts and a shopping trip to Walmart where we spent much more than I planned. Today we had to go to Petersburg and pick up our van but the rest of the day is a rest day. Wannabe
Today is yet another writing day. I am working more hours a day now than I was before I retired. But I am starting on my third career and I love this one and I loved the last one.
Yesterday I worked in the backyard for a couple of hours until the sun came out from behind the trees and made it too hot for me. Then I made soap....Tea Tree Oil soap for Amanda, cinnamon soap for us and a loaf of chocolate soap for Nicky and Austin. Today I worked out in the yard for about 3 hours, then came in an wrapped and labeled the soap bars. Still have dishes to do. Might just take a nap instead. I am not cooking supper tonight so I don't have to have them done by any particular time. :-D
It was back to work today, so I will not get anything else done. It is the last night of revival so I will go to that, come home, go get Mom settled in for the night and then go to bed. Dooley, it sounds like you got quite a bit done to me. Making jelly is no easy task.
All of you are so busy and accomplish so much. I put the dishes in the dishwasher, fed the dog and ground out one more pond article for a trade magazine. But the cleaning man showed up, so at least until the dog had her treats the floor didn't crunch anymore. Jan
