There is nothing as good as a home grown Tomato!
We also love Zucchini, Pumpkins and Squash. We are also having a fantastic apple year :)

    I agree - about the Tomatoes :D

But Squash etc. are wonderful vegetables too. I've sometimes used Squash to make vegetables burgers. Not that I'm a vegetarian, but Squash burgers just taste wonderful - together with some fresh Tomatoes :D

    Best,
    Anette

I find it very hard to narrow this down to one veg, so I will cheat and do it seasonally.

In the spring, it had to be the leeks, planted in the autumn. Slender and tender and delicious.

In the summer, it is always the raspberries. They are my dessert island fruit. I adore them, and my fruit cage is full of a variety called Glen Ample, and they are definately ample.

In the autumn, it has to be the tomatoes. I know they start late summer, but for me this year, the bulk came during September time and I only finished picking the last, last week. Melt in the mouth deliciousness.

Winter is yet to come, but I know it will be my most fave member of the greens family, the Brussel Sprout. yumyum. :)
