Here's an oldie.

The late Errol Brown and Hot Chocolate had a top ten hit with this in the UK with this in 1982.
It's a song with a story of "young love," and how the boy became forgotten.
It was included in a programme of his music the other night, on BBC TV

In a TV interview in 2009, he was asked if the girl in the song really existed. He replied, that she did when he was at school in Jamaica, her name was Barbara Blackwood. He never saw her again.

After this interview a newspaper found her and asked if she remembered him.
As in the song, she said she didn't.
