    I first heard that Ed Ames sing over the radio in 1966 in an ice cream/sandwich shoppe in Lubbock, Texas. Silly obsession on my part is that I have listened to it and sung along with it so many times that I can hold the word Love the same length of time he does. I can't sing worth a durn but love the song. Other singers have recorded the song back in the day but could not hold that note anywhere near as long as he did.

    I can do quite a lot of things toni..one of them is NOT singing like yourself...haha...play guitar badly but play it anyway..
    Hope the Rod Stewart selection was good for you toni..so many good songs..Maggie May, Sailing, The Killing of Georgie, Every Picture Tells A Story......

    Like many old pop tunes, I can play Maggie May on my leccy piano,(after a fashion) including the Ronnie Wood guitar solo and John Peel's mandolin solo, (it really wasn't him he was just pretending to play it in the Top of the Pops video).

    Alice Cooper when this first came out I just left school so i bought it.

    Also this

    Yes in the early days onTOTPs they had to mime it but they changed studios so that they could perform live.
