Here are big 2 pots of coleus that I will pot up and sell at the local garden club fair. I will give them all the money. In the bottom picture on the very right is oak leaf hydranga that I made. That will also go to the sale. Have tons more. After that the greenhouse will be emptied out...can't wait...

I love all coleus. These are the ones I have grown in the past years. Now I have been doing the more fancy, fingerling leaves.

Awesome. Now tell me, do the Mosquito plants really keep Mosquitoes away?

Grow, I don't know but they do smell like citronella. They sell like crazy. They grow into very lush plants...My stock plant is huge, huge, huge. It has to be 5 feet wide and 2 feet tall when it is growing well. I just gave it a gigantic haircut to start all these new plants so it is wimpy at the moment.

Barb, those coleus are just beautiful.

I started fuchsias this past week for hanging baskets. and I had a petunia winter over in my cuban oregano that (which is bad bad bad to do.. you aren't supposed to keep petunias from one season to the next due to the powdery mildew being carried over too.) I took cuttings from it and started them... and a geranium wintered over in a hanging basket... I got a few cuttings to root.

I'm tempted to try a Mosquito plant this summer, although we weren't bothered at all with them last summer.

We bought a new plant last year for a unique planter on the porch. When we took the other potted plants out in October, we left this one. It withstood freezing until mid January, which amazed us. I saved the tag, but it's outside, so I can't tell you the name. It has tiny, multicolored blossoms. We plan to use the same plant for the porch rail planters and maybe even the other pots this summer.

purpleinopp, I had to go google the flowers. I always nipped the ends off to keep it dense. I never saw the flowers before. Now I am going to have to make a few pots just to let them bloom. They are very pretty. Thanks...

Purpleinopp, no, we didn't take a picture of this one. Perhaps because there was only the one, and it was later in summer.

TY. Something to look forward to this year maybe! :+) Some updates & new stuff...

This snake plant (Sansevieria) leaf was cut off and stick in soil last summer. It has grown 3 pups, and one of them seems to want to be a yellow fellow.

Update on a little Gardenia that was propagated and planted last spring. It's doing great & has some tiny buds forming!

A pot full of baby succulents propagated by stem cuttings of by growing leaf-babies. The bits coming out of the holes in the front are ornamental purslane (Portulaca umbraticola.) Can't wait to see that blooming again this summer!

Baby succulents propagated & put in mini garden.
    2016-02-20 015.JPG
Angel trumpet (Brugmansia) cuttings (naked pieces of stem with no leaves or roots) were stuck in pots a couple months ago. Some are about to outgrow being inside!
    2016-02-20 047.JPG
This Brugmansia stick was put in the ground & is also doing well.
    2016-02-20 025.JPG
A pineapple top that I set in a bed last summer, then put in a pot for winter. Doing well! Cuttings of purple scimitars (Tripogandra) are also using this pot this winter.
    2016-02-20 056.JPG
Coleus cuttings stuck into pots are doing well in most pots. Some got too dry and a few pots weren't able to get as close to windows as they were in my imagination, while frantically trying to find any available spot in pots to at least try to save every branch when it was no longer possible to deny that winter was coming.
    2016-02-14 003.JPG
This is one of those plants that doesn't wait for a human to get involved, it propagates itself. LOL! Donkey ears (Kalanchoe gastonis-bonnieri.)
