What to do with grass dug out of new beds

    Good to see you!
    I put all my "diggings" and clippings into the chicken pen. They make short work of it.
    they eat the roots and greens and scratch the soil into nice loose compost soil.

    Hi DMJ, glad you made it here too. This seems like a really nice forum.

    I think I am going to use some of my grass clumps to re-grass my pasture. We have had so much rain, that a good bit of it is now nothing but a mud pit. You can sink almost to your knees in it right now. [well up over my ankles anyway...] :-o :stew1:

    I also put my grass in some bare spot in lawn+ compost.I have 3 piles going.
