Pay attention to the oven vent if you are looking. Many have this vent in or right above the door aimed at your crotch. I sent our first choice back because of the hot crotch design. Unusable!

Good tip. I wouldn't be getting one with a oven.

It is an overcast, chilly dqy, so we are having comfort food tonight. Garlic baked chicken, broccoli, and a chopped tomato and onion salad. I'm always looking for new chicken recipes, and this one my husband really liked, so we are having it for the second time.

@kate , you know I have no idea what you are having for dinner!

Ditto to you @Dirtmechanic on the Cajun Peanuts. They aren't those awful orangy marshmallow peanuts with spice on top, are they?

    BTW, your dinner looks delicious!

I have discovered I like a little ground mustard on my salads. I am not done trying different combinations. I like it as one would do oil and vinegar, but I see no purpose in the vinegar. Too sour for me by itself.

Tonight it was cornish hens. But DW said she cannot bear eating the cute little bony things. I said they were just a different chicken but it did not matter. So I just boiled all 4 of them with celery, poblano pepper and spring onions and a little seasoning I like that uses a hint of nutmeg and then deboned them for later. I boiled corn in the shucks because it is sweeter that way and corn needs help this time of year. Then DW tells me because she has a dentist appt in the am that corn on the cob was out. 2 out of 3 down. I pan fried those stinky little cabbages while wondering how they actually cook them in Brussels. I added some chopped vidalia spring onion and a poblano pepper and tossed in some little gold potatoes. Then she tells me the poblano is too hot of a pepper for her. 3 out of 3. Well there is always tomorrow.

Cayuga, I hope you enjoyed your trip and your dining out.
Tonight we are having comfort food again since it's chilly out there! The menu is ham and beans on cornbread with dill or bread and butter pickles on the side. Basic, filling, and comforting!
