I would recommend the very large whisky cube ice trays. I will eventually find a favorite use for those silly little cabbages. So far I like high temp frying in a balsamic candied reduction but here goes brussel sprouts on flatbread pizza style with some lemony ricotta cheese and parmesian and italian cheeses. That was a good way to eat brussel sprouts. I will leave off the lemon zest on top because it had some in the ricotta. Becky has been picking blueberries and made us a Maine blueberry pie without the Maine blueberries of course.
Nice looking food, mate. I am especially fond of blueberry anything, so the sight of that pie went down well. I still have a couple of months before my blues are ready top harvest. One bush's fruit have a blush of blue. Yeah, your Bride had a great harvest.
This is the wild boar. Carrots potatoes onion and leeks from the garden. The boar and the mushrooms from the forest.
Odif, we have feral hogs in Texas, and they can be hunted at any time of the year. The hogs can do a terrible amount of damage to pastures and crops. If captured and brought live to a butcher, they can be butchered and sold. We have had feral pig given to us by a neighbor, and the meat is tender and flavorful. I'd bet your dish with the boar is delicious!
The boar is a massive pest here too and your garden needs to be well barricaded against deers too. The boar was soaked in wine and herbs and spices before. Luckily we have lots of hunters here.
@mart Yes they are called chanterelles in english, round here they are called girolles. @Cayuga Morning and @Dirtmechanic they are freshly picked and very delicious.
