If you like some acidity in the dip, add in some pineapple small chunks at No.4 of the instruction when cooking the dip. It does take the flavour to a whole new level Sorry I forgot about this, some people do not like it.
well,, may be a while before i can try new recipes. had surgery Wednesday to repair broken arm. had bone grafts on both bones. not fun !
Mart--I hope that you are feeling better and that the bone grafts work. What a headache that broken arm must be. Get well soon !
Our own veggies, spuds and a kaassoufflé (cheese souffle). I just threw in the Dutch word to show how crazy some of our words can look--all those verbs consonants!
@Sjoerd, does the tongue hang around those double 'a's and do you use extra breath for the double 's's?
Hiya Cayu-- The double a's are an intonation pronounced differently than a single a...more nasal, I guess you'd say. the double s's are actually the ending of one word and the beginning of another....in this case, kaas = cheese and the following soufflé = souffle. These two stand-alone words are combined to make a new word. Get it? There are more crazy words with; for example, three vowels. They don't call it "Double Dutch" for nothin'.
My husband decided to treat us tonight with lamb choppers! These are my favorites; I grew up on a mini farm where my parents raised sheep. We always had lamb on the table and I still love it. The lamb was marinaded in olive oil, homegrown garlic and homegrown rosemary. We also had homegrown sauteed fingerling potatoes and homegrown green beans. Everthing was delicious. Oh and we had a glass of red wine!
