It is my husband's birthday today & we are going out to eat with "the kids" (they are grown) to a jazzy restaurant.
Not sure about dinner, but I made breakfast for the wife and I this morning. Cheese omeletes with shallots and garlic (mine with some jalapeno) garnished with fresh dill, buttered biscuits and bologna. Coffee with cocoa... Ahhhhhh!
God knows what i'm having tonight...last night I had Veggie meat balls and Mediterranean rice...my hubby means business for the new year
Tonight is Brunswick stew, Sally Lunn bread, and cranberry chutney. We love Brunswick stew (chicken, lima beans, potatoes, corn, and tomatoes with a few herbs thrown in) and it goes so well with Sally Lunn.
Tonight is hubbies dinner with his friends so he will bring me a Grilled Asiago Ranch Chicken Club sandwich with a large order of Fries from Wendy's. I have no shame when it comes to eating unhealthy, I am 72 and have earned the right to 'pig out' once a week.
Veggie sausages, cauli, broccoli, carrots coated over with scotch broth soap but I enjoyed it...he's not mentioned what to nights concoction will be
We're gonna have lizzards. That is livers...chook livers. So, it's going to be livers fried with mushrooms and onions. That will be served over a bed of tagliatelle noodles and bacon bits...and a side of our green beans. At the last moment I was allowed to chuck a nob of butter on the noodles...you know for lubrication and flavour.
