Yes Mart it is indeed, I thought that I wrote that, but I see that I had a brain freeze there. Pardon.

Tonight I simmered chicken thighs and legs in mild salsa. Made a pot of rice - and Bob's your Uncle!
    Happy hubby.

4-G...that sounds great. I also prefer dark chicken meat. Tell me about your salsa.

That is precisely what it is, Mart. I thought that I wrote it, but when I look back I see that I must have had a brain freeze or something ( the wrong language ). My apologies.

I buy the thigh and leg parts here ! 10 lbs is about $5.00 unless on sale and then less than that ! Good deal in my opinion ! I often put the small ones in the freezer to bake and boil and bone the rest for casseroles and soups !

One of our Regular Meals...Pork Chops (cheap here) pork sausages from the UK pre Brexit of course:whistling: with sage and onion stuffing balls some steak spice sprinkled towards the end..Frites and Peas and Carrot...s sounds a large meal ...it was actually, bloated..
Takes 15 minutes to Cook..can grill, but I fried the P S & B in sunflower oil, Frites in the oven and Veggies in the m/wave...

We were tired from a long walk so we didn't cook. Just had cheese, bread, apples, oranges & smoked salmon. Filled the bill.

Tonight's planned Dinner...Sausage Toad (Toad in the Hole.. it is also called) with Boiled Potatoes, Carrots and yet to be chosen another vegetable. Plus a thick Gravy with an OxO Cube some previous saved leftover beef gravy in the freezer and add a small fleck of Marmite...makes all the difference...

I've heard of Marmite but I don't remember what it is Dianne.

It is actually a yeast extract and it is a taste that has a love or hate reputation...In Australia I recall it as vegemite speaking often with close expat friends in Denmark Australia we have talked and laughed about it..they are also living the good life....great saying though....

Today has been busy outside--husband tilling, me planting, and some major pruning of rosemary, apple trees, and roses. We are going to have a simple supper of ham and beans with cornbread and dill pickles. We may or may not fall asleep in our plates!
