Chuckle! Oh dear the pandemic is really getting to you two! I would have loved to be a fly on the wall.
Tja....yes, and I’ll bet you would. Hurmpf, you would have been throwing tomato's and heads of lettuce, yelling, “Get off the stage...cut, cut, cut” ! Hang on a minute though— I wonder if a fly can chuck a tom, let alone a failing head of lettuce. Could one even LIFT one of those two items.... You are right though, it is getting to us. Cackle. Any excuse for a demonstration of bizarre behaviour, and then blame it on the covid. It seems like you have us twigged, mate.
Tonight it was ground lamb, fried spud wedges and lof (I think that may be called ‘Belgian Endive’ but I am not sure.
A few months ago when my son was diagnosed with gout and was told he needs to back away from eating too much meat, I brought home several different types of "pretend" meat. Slowly I've been introducing them, without much success. Tonight I fried up the "sausages" with some sliced onion, steamed green beans, a salad of red onion, tomatoes and cucumber and a side of parmesan couscous. The afore mentioned son went to MacDonald's for a burger! All I can do is try.
Vegetarian mince with gravy and potatoes and all the veg with gravy and fried red onions with garlic and Chilli and gravy. The mince isn't the same flavour as the real meat but it's not bad when I add the fried red onions, garlic and Chilli, then mash up the potatoes and mix them altogether. But trying to cut down on processed meats so it will have to do. That's a shame, can he just cut down on the portion of meat or have chicken?
Logan - I'm "lucky" if he eats anything I make, guess I'm not a great cook. He did like the fake chicken patties, sort of like chicken nuggets in texture. So he's sort of picky.
Tonight we are having crockpot pinto beans, ham hocks and cornbread! It's made the house smell great.
