Yesterday I moved the container tulips that I planted last fall, to the front deck. Such a move requires use of a dolly.

These have to stay in the vegetable garden. The container is much to heavy to move.

That last one was not planned. A couple of years ago, I had emptied old planters and found the bulbs. Then it was "what do I do with these?" and that half-barrel had the space.

Deer eat the tulips and underground life eats the bulbs. I can only grow them in containers.

Now I wonder, can I over-plant them with something to make good use of the containers while keeping the bulbs happy for next year?

Daniel—Oh Mate, those are gorgeous !
You were wondering about planting them with something else. Lotsa folks here use containers, planting tulips in the bottom other spring bulbs on top of those and then summer bloomers on top of those. Each layer separated with a layer of soil. The results can be stunning.

Take a look at this vid:
    https://www.gardenersworld.com/how-to/grow-plants/how-to-plant-a-multi-layered-pot-of-bulbs/

Actually, you may already know this.

Oreti— Lovely views of your white plot. Such a nice variety. I thought that I saw some Japanese anemone leaves. Are they the white ones?
    Yeah, a nice variety indeed.

Aren’t those gorgeous, Oreti. I grow those as well, albeit a very small clump.

Daniel…yes I agree spring is an always a great time of year just watching the garden , birds and wildlife all come together after a long Cold winter.

I have two cherry trees tart cherries. They are huge trees attract birds, grey squirrels and other wild life in the area.
They are appreciated for the shade they offer in summers.

Super easy …hydrangeas are a collected plant of many types everywhere in my garden.
