Thanks for this Daniel! :) I always appreciate you patient and thoughtful explanations.

When my best friend's memory garden was first built, I needed some instant colour and love in it that was also affordable. I wanted it to be beautiful for her family to come and visit her. I filled it with the miniature roses and they came back for three years! I couldn't believe it. I love roses but even the hardy ones sometimes perish here depending on the winter. I was very impressed that they survived.

I really like your idea of separating and potting them up. You have my wheels turning for next year my friend. :) Thank you.

My friend who used to own the neighbouring property had lupins everywhere. Although the new owners have mowed down most of them, they still appear along the roadway. They randomly show up in my yard, and these beauties migrated into the meadow. They just began to bloom.

    Some of the container garden.

This daylily was one I bought mid-winter, then forgot in the garage for a few months. It didn't look like it would survive when I planted it. Daylilies are tough!

Here's another that was in a container last year, and I left it outside. Then repotted in the Spring.

Here's a mini dahlia bought last summer. I over- wintered it in the garage, then divided and replanted in the Spring. Happy looking.

Mini Alstroemeria. I let them dry out in the garage, then moved outside again in Spring, They need dividing and re- potting,

Echinacea I grew from seeds last year and overwintered, dry, in the garage.

Boscobel David Austin Rose. So far it's doing OK in a big container.

I just bought these geraniums at the big box store. The were looking sad but they are colors I didn't have already. I cut off the dead leaves and flowers, and up- potted them. I think they'll fill out and make lots more new flowers soon. The middle one was a water-started cutting. I up- potted it and cut off flower buds to allow more growth.

The other annuals are in a different location until they start blooming.

Mel— Those wild Lupins look splendid there. I remember seeing huge expanses of land with them growing wild. They were all purple. Yours are even better-looking. They do tend to spread though, eh?

Daniel— Those Day Lillies are looking really good. Dalias—check. Echinecia— check, Roses—check, Geraniums— check!
They all look so happy and healthy. Chapeau, mate.

    Thanks, Clay!
It was a seed mix called Cheyenne Spirit. There are others from that packet in a vegetable bed, but I've been neglecting them because there is too much to keep op with right now,
