Absolutely. lovely !! @Pacnorwest . Your garden is so full and lush !! I hope that one day mine will look half as good as yours !!
Annie this garden is mature , been growing plants trees shrubs for 30 years. Nothing was here when the garden bug attacked, this garden zone is what is really the driving force. Zone 8b .
We've got the moles back too @Pacnorwest Only in the big field so far though. This is in the garden at the bottom
These violets are super, they spread all over the place, and pop up in different places. A very welcome little flower to help see spring in.
Hollywood plum. I grew from a cutting in 2014. Delicious, deep burgundy red plums. Japanese Cherry. I grafted this from an old Japanese Cherry tree in my in-law's yard, in 2012. I used a volunteer, wild cherry seedling as a root stock. Pieris. We used to call this Andromeda, which I think is a nicer name. Some hyacinths. I think the've naturalized now. After a few years, their flower is smaller but I think I like it better,
I like violets. Most people here consider them a weed. I dug some up from my old yard, and moved them here to give this place a sense of history. The big lush ones are killed off by slugs. They don't eat the little ones.
The polyanthus is doing well again from the last 2 wet summers. Got a hyacinth growing in the pavement that keeps growing every year.
@Logan my favorite spring flowers in your garden. It’s always a looker …beautiful and so charming combinations. Brings all the joy of gardening back in a flash. @Daniel W wow lovely to see all your cuttings growing into some fancy trees and shrubs. It’s all coming together so beautifully. I luv it.
