So many photos of incredible nature. Thanks everyone for sharing ‘Although not particularly impressive, I have a fondness for my tiny hostas, HiHo Silver and bitsy gold. They were purchased from a master gardeners sale years ago. I’ve barely managed to keep them going but they appear to be thriving in their special location by the front porch. The mouse ears broke into many starts upon its relocation and next year I will create a larger collection. The variegated form may some day have the same opportunity.
The flowers on this young dogwood keep growing larger as each day passes. Wonder how much bigger they will get when
Gorgeous rose, Loggie. Does it have thorns? Jewell— I have never seen a dogwood with such large blooms. Wow!
@Pacnorwest lovelies for sure. @Logan what a lively yellow. I’m still waiting for roses. @Sjoerd the tree was a gift and I was shocked at the bloom size. This year they started out smaller but have grown to surpass the first years bloom size. They are bigger than my hand with fingers extended. There are 20+ native varieties of lupine in Washington state. I don’t know if these along the downtown abandoned railroad tracks are native or introduced from California but they were huge, some were 2 meters tall. I was checking them out to see if they might fit into one corner of the yard but they are quite rangey. Jury is still out.
