Sunny at the moment but it seems we have to be prepared to expect a mixed bag of weather today, sun, rain and with Storm Kathleen bringing us winds of 48mph..seems we're escaping the worst as further down the coast winds will be a lot higher.

High of 17C with a low of 11C overnight.

I'm a southerner, so yes, my climate is always hot and very humid, as I'm situated right at the coast of the Arabian sea. A little inland also just outside Karachi, there is only a semi desert.

However northern Pakistan is a completely different story, as that's where 8 of the top 20 tallest mountains in the world are located. Where the lowest temperature ever recorded (in 1995) was -24°C (-11°F).

I just now posted in our Village Square a documentary about how the Karakoram Highway was built. Which connects Pakistan and China by road.

But as for me, here in southern Pakistan, well over a thousand kilometers away from the North - it's always very hot and humid...

    Humidity: 73%.
    Dew Point: 25°C - 77°F.
    Visibility: 7 Km - 4.3 Miles

Storm Kathleen was blowing strongly a couple of hours ago and I felt it best to pack up outside for the day as we do tend to get roof tiles dislodged and falling fence panels +fallen branches from the nearby surrounding trees. As it's so very mild I've had to leave the greenhouse open so as not to end up with sizzled seedlings so may end up with blown out panes of glass too !!

Best to stay out of it than take unnecessary chances. The full height of the wind will peak about 8-9 pm tonight, so a few more hours to go yet.

We're supposed to get an 80% totality (at shortly after 1 pm) but clouds and showers are expected. My recess duty with adolescents is 12:50/55 (depends on when they're finally acting decently in line) to 1:20. So we'll be outside for it. For some reason the time shifted, when I first started looking it was at 2:08. My granddaughter is out of school at 2:10 so I made sure she had eclipse glasses, I bought a pack of six for her and her friends.
For the 2017 eclipse we had just moved back to Washington (Tacoma) so our first anything there was a road trip to Oregon for the eclipse, a month later.

Pacnorwest, it's nice not to have rain for a day but very windy. It would be a nice day if it wasn't very windy.

We have windy day as April seems to always be a rollercoaster of weather. Today we have rain and wind gusts up to 60mph.. . So hanging in there.

I have the geraniums and snowpeas out. Most of the seedlings and mini roses etc are on the plantmobile, in the sunroom, with LEDs turned on.

Dry day with sunny intervals ahead but still with very strong gusty winds that should die down around 4pm..I haven't walked around the garden yet to check for any damage. :fingerscrossed:

High of 15C with an overnight low of 9C.

Got stuck in traffic, that's why I was a few minutes late. Otherwise the idea was to capture a most beautiful urban sunset from over this bridge.

Horrid gale force winds still.....forecast shows they've gone , but they certainly haven't. Had to come in as I've been weeding and staking all afternoon but as the wind has increased so had my earache from it!!
