    Currently Friday.. @Oreti enjoy your fish and chips.. the word chips means french fries here. Chips here means potato chips or ‘crisps’ in England . Linguistics do differ a bit.

    @Logan …..:) …..maybe more coffee …:rofl:

    Well the winds have eased up a bit now as last night was mad. It was howling around the house and the trees were scarily whipping back and forth in wind speeds of 63 - 65 mph. Slightly calmer now and noted the current wind has dropped 60 mph.....hope it will now keep dropping:fingerscrossed:.

    Well I thought I had moved or secured everything away but can see potting compost spilt over the ground from pots that I had thought too heavy to get upturned. A long tray that I stand pots on is now laying on kitchen patio..who knows where I will find the pots!! Roof tiles are strewn across the ground in my nursery area ,they are slate ones so must be from the old section( 120yrs) of our house. Goodness knows what else will happen as these winds are due to remain strong until tomorrow evening.

    There was a tree that came down on the main road earlier, but now it's been moved.

    Utter madness!!

    Two children ( 17 and 12 ) died here last year due to a sudden rip tide.

    Yet there are still stupid people who seem prepared not only to chance their lives but also of those who get summoned to rescue them....makes me so angry. Why oh why.....just for a thrill??

    The wind is terrible out there and the leaves keep blowing around that our puppy river loves to try and catch them.

    Well not too bad ,found the missing fence panel in neighbour's garden ( it is actually their border fence) , another uprooted tree ( as can be seen by hubs workshop) and a brick that mysteriously landed on the lower patio. The fridge has been on a slight walk about but not so far this time.

    Had another tree come down, this time in the small wood where we walk the boys but it was in the night.

    Gusty winds from the north with thick cloud. Temp 6c feels like 2c.
