As I had predicted, not a single drop anywhere outside during the night... Why can't the official government's meteorological department and reality ever be on the same page??? This is why I have my own weather instruments. As I have zero faith in whatever weather forecast I get, be it form any source. I just look at real satellite images, then look up at the sky outside, and finally have a look at my own barometer and wet & dry thermometers. After which, at least for me, there is no more mystery - If I still need to be extra sure about it, I sometimes walk to the beach outside and simply dip the thermometer into the waves to get accurate ocean temperature.
Good morning all, clear sky and light winds temp 2c to 12c Precipitation 0% Sunrise 6.02 Sunset 20.12
Not a bad day again here, it was nippy when the clouds crossed the sun yesterday but generally a good gardening day. Today is looking similar ,at the moment we have blue skies and sunshine...lovely.
Overcast skies, so nothing out of the ordinary, (considering that monsoon season is early this year) - But still no rain yet, only slight drizzle occasionally, like for just a few seconds only. Because the barometric pressure isn't dropping below 1,000 mBars. As that's when we get a heavy downpour. At over 1,010+ mBars, only a light drizzle at best, that too if the conditions are right, otherwise no. Not unless it's rain in winter. Weather conditions according to my instruments and satellite images is below.
And they are now saying in the media, that Karachi received light rain this morning... But not a drop of rain as far as I can see. Still, just to make sure I called different people who reside in other areas of the city. But everybody said that no, no rain anywhere. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dawn.com/news/amp/1828182 I'm honestly amazed... I feel like the media people never bothered to step outside of their office and look up at the sky - They just composed a story, just by looking at the weather forecast. Which I have already debunked because of my weather instrumentsin installed in my home. But just look at how the media now so shamelessly lies at the drop of a hat... The sun is shining outside right now - If you're going to lie, it least try to make it seem believable. For the love of God I mean, have some shame. Every leaf of every plant outside is completely dry, and shinning in sunlight at this very moment. This is why I don't trust anything, which I myself can't independently verify on my own... This song below should now be made into the anthem of our official government meteorological department, as, well as the media which paddles their lies with gusto. Yes everybody was expecting rain, and a lot of it - BUT NO SUCH THING HAPPENED ANYWHERE IN THE CITY!!! Just look at the pictures I took and posted over there just a little while ago before this one, (when I was outside shopping for groceries). Yes the sky was a bit overcast, but all streets were dry - They still are! Utterly hopeless...

Last night I was settling in to sleep, then received a notice the temp would drip to 31F (-0.6 C). So I got up and re-covered the small number of tender plants that are set out into to garden. The cardboard boxes work if it's not raining. I don't mind doing it. I would have delayed setting out those few tender plants, if I was psychic, but Im not. The weather report stated low last night was 36 F. Drought is predicted this year. I need to get to work on the drip lines. It's not difficult, I just have to do it. I bought a new splitter for the main line. That comes first. Good thing those readings are F and not C.
@S-H our forecasts are exactly like yours too, I can't understand how , at times, they get it so very wrong either. The other day we were forecast heavy rain...didn't get or see a drop. The best forecast is to look out the window. Today has started off cloudy ( so it looks like they have got it right for today).
Good morning all, thick cloud and a gentle breeze temp 9c to 13c Precipitation 28% Sunrise 6.00 Sunset 20.14
Correct, looking out the window often tells us a lot, I fully agree! But the question which is seriously boggling my mind these days is - I'm not a qualified meteorologist by any standard. Yet with just my own basic weather instruments, (which I bought online), and looking at latest weather satellite images which are freely available on the internet. I am able to make very good sense of the weather. As well as be able to foretell what it would be like in the next few days. Now the government has far more resources then all of us combined. With far greater access to highly detailed satellite images. And people who actually would have master's degrees and PhDs in the field of meteorology - They even have storm chaser aircrafts, long duration weather balloons, as well as weather rockets which they regularly fire to the edge of space to gather upper atmosphere data... As well as hundreds of weather stations all across the country (with way more superior instruments then mine) in different otherwise unreachable areas of our territory. All automated to feed back up to the second information by radio to the central weather command. Yet they keep on getting it wrong all the time, while I always get it right... And the final insult to injury - Media too blindly publishes whatever they get from the official (and now proven to be incompetent) source. Without bothering to double check anything on their own. Like, I was made to believe that the media is "responsible"... HOW ON EARTH IS THIS POSSIBLE??? This is now seriously making me question, exactly where is all my tax money going? If this is the level of competence government has? Of course, if I ever cornered them on live TV and directly asked - How do you keep on getting everything wrong regularly? In spite of having so many resources? Their answer would be: Predicting weather is an inexact science. So we can't always be 100% right all the time, nobody anywhere in the world can claim to be... Okey... So... Why shouldn't you then also always get an inexact amount of salary, that too at irregular times? Since all we get from your job's output too is always "inexact" and "irregular". Yesterday's high was 90, and today's high is predicted to be 66. If you don't like Texas weather, wait 10 minutes! With the wind we won't be doing much outside today.
