Chilly and part of a trend for the week. Sitting in sunroom among the seedlings, which are under lights for the moment. Completed the crossword with some search engine assistance, and coffee.

Based on the prediction, the new roof is a bit delayed, to mid May. No problemo. I think it's time to leave the Pelargoniums outside through the night now. But I better get the tools and woodworking project back into the shed by tonight.

I should get the more cool tolerant seedlings into the ground today, before the rain starts.

We have temperatures in the low 70s and a light drizzle all morning. Not much work outside--just a bit of fruit tree pruning and mulch spreading. The rain (?) is welcome, but inconvenient for our day's plans.

Glorious morning here ,full sunshine and blue skies, but apparently we have rain on it's way for later. High of 13C with a low of 6 tonight. Unfortunately at this time of year our garden remains shady until midnight, unlike in the Summer when its the complete opposite and we bake on hot sunny days!!

Much like @Pacnorwest , yesterday was warmer - we saw 80 on the front deck in the shade. Today, hi 54, low 49 with rain all day. And for at least ten more days.

It's warm enough, the Pelargoniums can stay outdoors now, less hauling back and forth. Tender plants stay in the sunroom under LEDs. Also less hauling.

Time to do deferred chores and bake a pie.

Heat of the day is now steadily climbing. That's why it's now making more sense for me to be outside at dusk only - Unless I have no choice and absolutely have to be outside during the day...

So today too was a hot day, but it's only going to get worse from here on... Thankfully around sunset time clouds rolled in from the sea. And so did a cooling ocean breeze.

Impressive beautiful city pix. Palm trees and many other beautiful trees and buildings. Great to hear it is cooling down for you , that much heat during the day is exhausting.

@Pacnorwest Thankfully I'm self-employed, so I can now afford to be inside in an air conditioned house all day, and just be outside while gardening. Modern technology too (like CCTV cameras connected to the internet) enable me to just stay at home and only be barking orders at others.

But if this wasn't so, I swear, the heat in daytime is sometimes now so much at the peak of summer, (thanks to climate change) - That I'd have seriously considered moving to a cooler part of the country. It honestly was never this bad when I was a kid...

But luckily, at dusk and until dawn, Karachi is still a fun city to be in. It was once called the Paris of East, as well as The City of Lights, (which never sleeps). And so still is a coastal mega-city of over 20 million inhabitants - Where great fortune is still being made by many.

Same situation here. The past 4-5 summers each year high temps were breaking heat records every year and for the first time we were facing drought conditions and out of control forest fires. I have had to evacuate with loading horses and dogs in tow. Not easy at my age. I have planted trees around my home and they do their planned job keeping my home cool in 100F temps in the hottest parts of the summer. I don’t depend on air conditioning I depend on my trees . Now with climate change since I live in the middle of a forest fire danger area and a new season called ‘Fire Season’ . Which begins in May. So this is really a catch 22 issue by using air conditioning which uses gasses that pollute and add to climate change and all my beautiful planted trees which cools my home are now a huge fire risk and could restrict fire insurance coverage since my state Oregon has mapped out and included where I live in a high fire risk zone.
