Logan no rain for you…today… It’s cleared a bit here tooo, so gotta run out and mow check for ground critters.
Yes we had it very windy down south too today but at least it was sunny and if you got out of the wind path it was quite warm. I had to double peg all the laundry out on the line!! Tomorrow is really looking good....at the moment. Currently 12C.
Not too bad. Today Im away from the garden, so the weather doesn't affect much. Pelargoniums and dahlias and mini roses are outside for some sun. Most of the rest are in the sunroom.
Forecast for the next few days is rain. So maybe now monsoon reason will finally reach Karachi... Basically, the way weather system works here in Southern Central to Southern Eastern Pakistan in a strange way. It's like whatever happens at the Southern coastline of Oman, and their city of Salalah, starts to happen here in Karachi a few days later. So that in a way explains why the Indian navy set up a base in Oman. Because as everyone already knows, India and Pakistan are traditional rivals, (and some say that our fight goes back to five thousand years). So it's exactly like in World War 2, where Nazis had built a secret weather stations in Iceland, Greenland, and what's now the coastline of Canada. As whatever the weather was like over there, in a week to 10 days - They would experience similar conditions in Europe. It also enabled them to better predict sea conditions, which assisted them greatly in their U-Boat campaign. It's actually a most interesting yet unfortunately little known portion of history. About how the allies first captured that Nazi base in. After which the tide of war change in Europe... You guys can look it up, as it's amazing how critical weather analysis is in a war. Most of these were unmanned automated weather stations. But there was one in Iceland I think, or Greenland, what had garrison of almost a 100 men. So the capture of that, was most funny. As the Nazi commander from the top saw American troops approaching. So in order to not have a bloodshed on his hands, he asked the American commander, how many are in your raiding party? He answered that I have a few hundred men approaching. So the Nazi commander agreed to surrender, and thus saved the lives of all the men in his base. Which was a very responsible thing to do on his part. As there would be no point in fighting a battle which they would lose. A while later when they had all come down from the hill unarmed. They discovered that the American raiding party only had a dozen men at most. The Nazi commander was furious, said that you cheated me, you lied! But he was told that all is fair in love and war. I remember seeing this in a documentary in my childhood. But unfortunately I can't seem to find it now. So below is all that I could find for you guys right now. It was very similar to the story of Sargent York, but this is a totally different account.
I'm parked in shade right now. Under the cover of trees. But it's already very hot, and it's only 09:30... No sign of any thunderstorm anywhere. But in a few day we'll see some. But already its6noe too hot, 35°C, which is 95°F, (according to my car's electronic thermometer) - Feels like... I don't know... How I've imagined the beginning part of Hell might feel like? Fortunately, I've got cooling fans in the car. Otherwise I'd be wasting fuel keeping the AC on all the time while I wait... Having a single fan now won't do anybody any good. That's why you see 2 in the above picture. But in actuality, I have 4 in my car.
Cooling fans a great idea. Will have to check that out tis summer. Just using window reflection shade helps a little . Thanks.
