sunny skies a bit cooler today. The rhody’s, azalea’s and peony’s will like this weather.

Middle of the night outside. And it's around 34°C - This is what's known as the "heat island effect". Where urban concrete areas now retain heat of the day for a very long time. Since I'm at the coast, it's not as bad for me as it is further inland.

And the government is nothing but a lying and cheating entity! As they have only 2 weather stations in the city. One at the airport, and another at the harbor - Both of which have large open areas. So no concrete jungle there. Which is why everywhere on the internet and in all weather apps. Temperature and other readings are always a few degrees less, (they don't want to report how bad the situation actually is).

I however have my own independent makeshift weather station. So #$+&%π them all!

Ah haaa. I totally get the concrete jungle the heat of the night. With no trees or plants to shade the concrete it is an oven.
That is why I am so adamant about all my trees and shrubs around my home. It shelters our home from the extreme hot summers 90’s -100 temps. The trees do their thing and cool the driveway house and other plants. Really quite a phenomenon , a gift from Mother Nature.

This is what outside was like today in my locality. Devastatingly hot! Car sensor said that outside temperature was 44.7°C -112.5°F!

Hospitals are now starting to report a sharp increase in heatstroke victims in the city...

And we haven't yet reached the peak of summer. So it's only going to get worse from here.
