My tomato plants have been suffering quite a lot from black flea beetles. I mixed up neem oil spray and spent an hour spraying them yesterday morning. Then, two hours later, there was a drenching 30-minute thunderstorm. I guess I need to respray. I'll check the prediction, first. Oops - 59% chance of rain! Better to wait a couple of days. Maybe that first dose at least reduced their populations.

It's sunny and getting hot--96 predicted for mid-afternoon. Thankfully it is not raining and hasn't for several days. Husband managed to mow the yards, barn lot, and orchard area over the weekend (Sunday a day of rest? Ha!) so we no longer live in the middle of a hay field. We also have a light breeze. This is welcome weather!
