It is going to be a very wet monsoon season now. And although it started late this year. But now rain clouds from Afghanistan have just entered my country, which are moving Southward - Normally this is no big deal, but now the regular Monsoon clouds from the Arabian Sea have also started arriving, which are moving Northward from the coast. So where these 2 massive cloud system converge, we get record breaking rain... Unfortunately these weather reports are in Urdu, so many of you won't understand. But a little over 24 hours ago this weatherman advised everyone in Central Pakistan to stay at home, as there might be a lot of urban flooding. Then this happened, where the city of Lahore, which is one thousand two hundred and twenty one and a half kilometers to the North from me, (640 miles away) - Just got drenched. In fact 44 year old records of rain have been broken... 315 mm of rain in a few hours. Which is 12.4 inches of heavy downpour! And guess what? This weather system is now moving Southward, while the regular Monsoon from the Arabian Sea is starting to move Northward, (as I had said so above). So when these 2 weather system meet, which will be over my head, I too will get drenched - Starting anywhere from 19 July, and continuing till early September probably. Such is climate change now. Where we now get long durations of extreme heatwaves. Followed by extremely heavy downpour. So what's just happened in the city of Lahore over 600 miles away from me. Is actually an appetizer for what's in store for me over here in Karachi, in around 2 weeks from now... Pakistan Meteorological Department has officially put the entire blame on India as the most pollution spreading nation, for causing an 8% increase in carbon emissions. Which has totally upset the enter weather system of the region.

It certainly has been dry and mostly pleasantly warm down here near the south coast..and we can't get much further south than this!! But.......having said all that here is today's forecast....
