Totally agree with you....that's why I don't give it a thought at this time of year......:chuckle::like: It sure depresses me and all my poor old bones .:( Let alone the thought of short days and not being able to enjoy being outside as much....yep definitely depressing.
I'm wiping it from my mind...gone!!:smt041:smt041

Today is supposed to be nice. Rain tomorrow.

I better dig the garlic today before it gets wet, and bring any rain-susceptible garden tools back into the shed.

It will be a nice break from watering :stew1:

Nice way to look at it, Oreti!

I have so much indoor work to do, I'm looking forward to bad weather. Not as much as earlier this year, but it definitely needs doing. And books to read.

Yes books here too for me as well @Daniel W :like:. I have already made a list that I want to hopefully work my way through + of course some new jigsaw puzzles.:D

I have also warned our brood that anything left in their bedrooms here...they all left home 17,18 and 21 years ago, will now be donated to charity or binned. They checked everything over when they were down a few week ago....so !!!!!!!! They've been told!!!:D

I normally also enjoy planning which seeds I will start to sow after Christmas too but not this Winter as I won't be sowing any . I will probably just direct sow a few Summer bedding varieties later and that'll have to do as I'm determined not to ignore advice and rush to get back on my normal gardening routines......I want this knee replacement to work well, unfortunately the track record for them in our family is not very positive , so I'm aiming to change that once and for all.:):fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

I have a fear our garden will look a bit drab next year but I'm using this experience to see if it will prove Ok after all :fingerscrossed: :) and I will be able cut back drastically in future years on most of the annual seed sowing.
I have wanted to try a year without sowing anything for a while but in the end I've always chickened out.....now I have the perfect excuse to give it a go.:D

@Oreti I hope that your knee replacement goes well, when is it going to be done?

Looks like it'll rain today. And tomorrow we will have thunder and lightning for sure!

So now is the time for me to start my experimentation with rain water collection and storage.

Heading out now, to purchase all that I need.
