The thought of having gotten older hit me when I realized that I was closer in age to the people in the viagra/cialis commercials than to the women in the dish soap/laundry detergent commercials.

I don't think I'll ever get old. Not that I'm going to shuffle off my mortal coil any time soon, I just don't feel old!
We bought a farm at age 60; we spend hours crawling around a field looking for Monarch butterfly larvae; we laugh at the hens (and ourselves); and took up bee-keeping at age 64. Maybe having a young husband helps. He is 10 days older than I, but to look at him you'd never know it.
However, I do accept senior citizen discounts.

Old what's that?!! I still feel the same way I did as a teenager - it's just my body that thinks I'm over 60!! ;)

I mentioned this posting to my neighbor, and she said that she realized she was getting older when the firemen outnumbered the guests when her birthday cake's candles were lit.

Sadly, when I became childless I went into old mo. I have been picking up a little recently but when I realize I only have my hubby and only sister left I can't deny that old is coming upon me.

This may sound a bit... eh... but I realized I was growing older when I spotted two very dishy men, couldn't decide on wich one I liked best, and then wondered why on earth I would want any of them. :D

But I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up either. *nudging Desert Cat*

I realized I was getting old when I looked in the mirror to shave and saw my Father looking back at me.

When I was given a senior discount without asking for it at a dunkin' donut.
Grey hair has its advantages. :)

When I was 48, the girl at McDonalds gave me a "senior" coffee without asking me!

Wrinkled was not one of the things I wanted to be, when I grew up. :D

Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again?

I used to be able to work in my gardens all day long, and work hard too! Then I could sleep it off, and feel fine the next day.
These days, I don't have enough strength to go all day, and my body takes so much longer to recuperate. I have to ask for help at work (landscaping) with carrying heavy stuff, and digging etc. And, I have told the guys not to call me ma'am, even when they say it with respect...

Oh,I suppose it was a couple years ago when I walked through crowded bar & nobody tried to pick me up.
    Disregard the above!!Just kidding!
I actually still don't think old,but my body reminds me of same.
Sometimes when I start thinking of all the friends, neighbors, relatives &people who are gone it makes me realize my age.
