    The coconut is simply a regualr coconut that I bought at the food market. I sawed it in half, drained the 'milk' and drilled two holes in the hard shell. I ran plastic-covered wire through the holes and then attatched the coconut half to the tree. There are a number of birds here that like it: titmice, woodpeckers, jays and jackdaws are the ones that I have seen eating at the white 'meat'.
    I suppose that with quite cold temps they like fatty and oily things.
