It is sort of a typical pose for Segovia isn’t it. I sort of recognised the general shape but couldn’t actually see the face well.
Yes, we do like Classical guitar music but we do not play it often these days since we got that lil streamer. We like so many different forms of music ant the choices seem endless.

When we lived in Spain we listened to it alot as well as Flemenco. Spain is such wonderful country to vacation or live in.

Yes. I look forward to the day when we can travel to Spain again.

BTW, our son suggested we plan a family vacation once traveling is available again. Our daughter is interested too. We are pleased that they would want to take a vacation with us.

Wouldn't’ t that be wonderful. You guys would have so much fun.
Yes...the weather, the food, the smells and I find the people delightful.
And if all that isn’t enough, there is the Hx and architecture.
I think that I mentioned that my Bride and I lived there for a year...it was one of our best years without doubt.

Would you like to take a year off?
If you could, where would you like to go?

I would love to travel to Europe: Spain again, do one of the hikes in Ireland or England, the Netherlands (yes!), maybe Guatemala (my Spanish tutor lives there & they have a residency program for their students), and of course the US: driving to visit all our friends & relatives around the country. And Canada. Our son may land in British Columbia for grad school. So many places! So little time!

How about you? Where would you like to go?

Others? Where would you all like to go?

I've liked that tune for decades, the film was on TV a few weeks ago.

You've been all over the place toni! I have only lived in western NY state, NJ and now MA. We've travelled about the US but I haven't been to every state as yet. Maybe some day.

I have thought about it, but can’t think of a place that I haven’t been to yet that I really must see and be in. If there is a place it would probably come to me in a couple of weeks when I wasn’t trying so hard to think about it. Chuckle.
I do sometimes dig out an old travel journal and read passages in them, then reflect. Some of those journals have sketches or aquarelles in them and that helps me to remember details.
Perhaps Peru to visit Machu Picchu.

@Sjoerd Hope you get to Manchu Picchu.

@mart i used to be like you and loved being at home and hated leaving.
I’d do anything to avoid traveling.

The last years of my working career I had the need to run away. o_O I developed itchy feet and enjoyed a small part of the west and southwest US and Vancouver Island, Canada. This was to be our travel year since my sweetie retired. Plans changed.

Love where I live. To me there is no place as spectacular with ocean, rainforests, mountains and ice covered volcanoes. But, I really want to travel and camp through Canada again. Maybe take the transcontinental train. Will have to wait until they let USA citizens back into Canada.

There are the red rocks of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona I will see again. Not yet, as there is a significant part of the population in some states that are disrespectful to the common good.

We found way too many people were traveling closer to home this last year. Parks and forests were too crowded for me and my sweetie unless the weather was abominable.

Thought about a trip to Hawaii but then I looked into it. At this point of my old dogs life I don’t want to travel without him. Getting pets in and out of Hawaii has quite the quarantine process. The EU will happen at a far off date.

Yes, I am planning our next excursion but it will be winter picnics at the ocean or in the snow of the mountains. Bought my wood stove for the caravan so some overnight trips in the wet and cold will be comfortable. Just have to get the stove installed. When the weather is wet and windy we can have nature all to ourselves with few humans about. :like:

Until then I am puttering in the yard and playing with houseplants. Life is very good at home too. Thanks to Zoom, I get to visit with interesting people from around the world with the same crazy interests. Who would have thought?

@Cayuga Morning a couple of years ago we took a family vacation with our adult son to Ajijic Mexico. Would love to be able to do that again. A different place and including his significant other would be awesome. Hope you get that family vacation.

I've a project, but it should only take a few hours.

We've had this Danish teak veneered wall unit since 1976, it's in my den.. alright.... our front room. It's been in and out of fashion many times. I think at the moment it's "in."
It's survived as it houses my audio gear, in the past, vinyl albums and lately CDs,DVDs and my huge collection of sheet music. Although it's in four sections it's too heavy to move when decorating, so I've always wallpapered around it. The back is a couple of inches off the wall so that isn't a problem. Fitters over time, have laid several carpets round it.

It's illuminated by six 15w lamps. Plus two more in the cabinets.

The six fail quite frequently, two over the last week-end.

That was the final straw, so I've ordered a set of six "flat" LED lights. They cost lesss than twenty quid, I've probably spent more than that on light bulbs for it, in the last year.

The ones in the cabinets can stay as they only come on when you open the doors and they rarely fail.

As there's a lot of wires behind this unit, given the audio gear and stuff for my jukebox wall box selectors, I'll probably re-wire the lot. Fortunately, everything above the drawer units can be easily slid forward four inches, which will make the access to the back possible.

My wife says "I'm just looking for something to do."
