KK - I don't know a think about luffa, other than you can buy it as a sponge a the pharmacy... so I was just reading about it. So, do you eat the immature fruit? How does it taste? And, do you have to do anything to the mature luffa to take it from the green-looking form to the dry sponge? I think it must be an interesting process.... It sure it pretty growing.

You can order on-line also at http://www.jungseed.com I had no idea the immature ones were edible! I'm thinking of growing it just for the flowers and fragrance.
kk, what an awesome plant! i tried growing them last year and they didn't get very big. i think it was too late in the season. i do want to try them again. i did not know that they bloomed at night! what is the fragrance like?
