It's like cypress, Thuja occidentalis. It's actually an American tree. :D

I think that was a very sweet thing to do for a neighbour. :stew2: I hope she didn't actually suffer a stroke? *biting my nails* ;)

It could very well be that we have that type of mat. I've got one similar to the table cloth on my youngest daughter's room. She likes to play on the "roads" and pretend that her horses live in the houses. :D She's got a vivid imagination.

I'm the sort of person that will take whatever works if there's nothing else to find that is more to my liking.

What a remarkable posting, Droopy. It's nice to see how a master does it. I like the idea of sitting and waiting to hear the exclamations of your neighbours.
It is so interesting how you do this and the time and care that you take to get it right.
    Well done, pikeske!

Thank you Sjoerd. I'm not a master, mind. This is just a once-per-year hobby.

Ha ha ha...ok,ok--but you seemed like one after that masterclass. Plus I have seen the ones that you have made in years past.

I wonder why my posting appeared twice...it's like a déjà vu déjà vu.
