I respooled and greased the gears on my portable winch. I use it for tree work mostly. I have never had one apart before. Then it was pulled pork on a pecan fire and Crimson Tide Football.
We started our day by watching the Dutch Grand Prix, which was won by a Dutch driver, Max Verstappen. The crowd went wild! Then while my husband went to get gasoline for the mower, I harvested herbs and hung them to dry, and chopped and froze parsley. Lunch is going to be leftovers since they do build up over the week, and dinner, I'm thinking about it . . . .
On Monday the roommates daughter was sent home from school because she was contact traced (in close proximity to someone with Covid). Yesterday, she received a positive Covid test, so today the bf and I went to get tested ourselves. We got the "slow" test, but we still already got our results - negative! Yay. Her dad and brother also tested negative, but they're going to test again in a few days just in case. In November, the bf and I are heading to Florida with his sister, to meet up with their parents, and going on a cruise to the Caribbean. Woohoo! Cruise is 7 days, after we disembark, we're staying another 7 days, so the bf and his sis can spend more time with their parents. Their mom has cancer, and they aren't sure how much longer she has. Hopefully quite a lot more time!
This morning took barley and Berry to the vets for their booster jabs. Berry has lost a bit of weight and barley is just right.
This morning went to the dentist for my checkup and everything is ok. Then walked berry and hubby had barely, then i went for my flu vaccination.
Yes some people only have a turkey crown and that's good. We thought that we'll get ours as soon as they came into the supermarket, just in case they ran out which they might this year.
Just bumped my head on the up and over door, didn't open it enough when i went out. I'm ok I've got a lump come up and it hurt a lot but it's going off now I wasn't thinking of what i was doing but I'll be ok.
Oh Logan, I hope your "bump" goes away fast. I bet you have a heck of a headache! Husband was mowing this morning, so I stayed out of the garden (don't like to have cut grass sprayed on me!). I made soft molasses cookies, tidied up the house a bit, and comforted Buddy the cat because he doesn't like loud noises like the mower makes.
I hope it wasn't too painful. As I wear an old golf cap in the garden, I can't see anything above the peak and I can bump my head occasionally on anything above it (like the bottom of the garage door if it's half open). Fortunately the cap stops it cutting or grazing my head!
