Oreti that torchy and twizzle puppet show is scary and creepy. Yikes all the characters were creepy…. That was a deeply nightmarish experience for kids in so many ways. I think the king was always sending kids to the dungeon but wow some of that video seems off the hook for today. That cat ? Yikes… I think the movements of puppets was a bit unraveling , way too choppy jerky motions. But hey children’s show gotta start somewhere. Thank goodness. Remember the Teletubbies? Now that turned out wacky and taken off the air although it was a wildly popular show. And that was in the 90’s .
Oreti thanks for those videos, they were good to watch but wouldn't have known them because i was born in 1957. All i can remember is Watch with Mother and the others later. I used to like the magic roundabout, made in 1970 but i was getting a bit too old to watch it.
@Logan we didn't move down south until 58/59 and didn't have a tv until the early 60s, I've checked and although they were made in the late 50s they were on our tv in the early 60s. Watch with Mother series lasted years didn't it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watch_with_Mother#Show_cycles
