This is Reba's calf, who has grown quickly. We named him Dilemma, since we hope to never find ourselves on the horns of a . . . . Gosh he looks twice the size he was. He going to be a magnificent specimen when he's full grown!! :-D
When full grown, at about three years old, Dilemma will weigh between 1500 to 2200 pounds. At 605 days of age, he may weigh over 600 pounds. Longhorns are "easy keepers" in that they will browse/graze more kinds of grass and forbs than other cattle. Dilemma is still on mother's milk, but when he is weaned, I plan to introduce him to home-baked bread and several pasta dishes. It's best to make friends with a small longhorn before he becomes a BIG longhorn!

Running, leaping, walking are all easy for him now, but getting down on the ground is a bit awkward.
