Flowers On Friday ... last winter month Downunder - Aug 2011I'm just sharing a few of the blooms around my garden on this first Friday in our last winter month. One of my favourites right now is my Dietes bicolor. These are such lovely flowers. Some may know them as Paper Daisies or Straw Daisies. We had a light shower of rain last night which was refreshing but didn't do much for the garden. It's our 'dry' season here and rain is very sparse and light. You have so many beautiful blooms in your garden!! I have some white Bracteantha bracteata and they really are such lovely flowers.
Eileen, I have some white too. I just love the colours and the texture of the Bracteantha. They're also such great self-seeders.
Lovely collection Bernie.
Thanks Frank. I love this time of year. Late Autumn through to Early Spring is the best time of year here for gardening. Summers are horrid. Login or register to leave a comment. |
