De-Vine Addictions or Passionflower Passions?I am so pleased! I just found purple moonflower seeds on ebay! I've been wanting some and searching all over. While I was there I also found auctions for other types of passionflower: Love In A Mist Blue Banana Passion Golden Apple Be still my heart! I've already planted so many vines. I like the idea of training vines over less than impressive trees and plants too. My boxwood will soon be wearing a lovely gown of Grandpa Ott Morning Glories: I just can't get enough of vines! I've got: Mandevilla Asiatic Jasmine confederate Jasmine Cathedral Bells (Purple AND white seedlings) cardinal vine heavenly blue morning glories Grandpa Ott's Morning glories purple passionflower white moonflower pink trumpet vine chocolate vine (just planted) Coral Vine (Queen's Wreath, Love Vine--just planted) Banana Passionflower (just planted) Most are in shades of purple, pink, or white...save the cardinal vine and heavenly blue. I think one big attraction is that they grow relatively quickly and you can actually see a little difference each day. Every time I see a new (to me) type I get really excited. I saw a magnolia vine...rubra I think, with these lovely red flowers...absolutely luscious! That will probably be next on my "list". I really need to control my ebaying, but at least seeds are fairly inexpensive! Last edited: Wed Jun 06, 2007 9:11 pm This blog entry has been viewed 1737 times

Oh you have GOT to show us all those seeds when they're growing and flowering in your garden. Just imagine the wonderful colour display you'll have!!! I must admit my favourite is definately the magnolia vine as it's such an attractive flower and such a beautiful red.
I'll post pictures as they grow (hopefully they will)! I will have to find some of that Magnolia Vine. I found some seeds on eBay but it was for a white one...I really like the red too.
I have been looking for purple moonflower vine seeds forever. Guess it's time to check out ebay.
I've had a lot of luck with ebay. We don't have any nurseries near here (that I know of) so it's either Lowe's, Home Depot, Target, or Wal-mart. They've such limited selections so I've been buying through ebay. I'm not sure how long it takes Passionflowers to grow from seed, but those are varieties I've not seen in the stores.
Sharon, jubabes is blooming and she is going to colect the seeds for me and you.
I love all the passion flowers I have a red and purple.
I saw a really pretty burgundy colored one...it was so delicate looking and for the life of me I can't remember the name...Empress or Duchess something, I think.....
OMG!!! I have been looking for passion flowers. The alredy grown vines are SOOOO expensive!! i think 22.00 for one. Glendann do you have a pic of your red passion??? I havent seen that! I didnt know there were more than one variety of them!! WOW im excited to look for them!
I didn't realize there were so many either! I knew about the red, but mostly I was familiar with the purple. That pink looks so sweet!
I also have most of the colours of the passion flowers, I have a purple and a white one intertwining, they look good.. xxx
