New Family on the Farm

Category: Lavender | Posted: Thu May 22, 2008 1:58 pm

We have added three new members to our Purple Ranch Family. We have at least two nests in our lavender plants. This one had three eggs and the other has 5 eggs. They have not hatched yet. These little characters are so funny. Any time you make a noise around them you get wide open mouths. We don't know what kind they are yet. Today is a busy day for us. We have 50+ people from the Dallas Master Gardner's Association coming out to tour the farm. My Mom has lavender sugar cookies and lavender lemonade ready for the tourists. Should be a lot of fun. The news paper will also be there. Gotta go. Until next time. Lavender Up!

Congratulations on the babies and on your batch of tourists. May they enjoy themselves immensely!

Just look at those big mouthed babies!!! I hope they all survive and that the eggs in the other nest you've found all hatch out. Let us know if you discover what kind of birds they are won'r you?

Lavender sugar cookies and lavender lemonade? Gosh your mum certainly spoils those visitors. I hope they spend lots and lots of money when they take their tour and that they tell all their friends about you. I wonder what kind of write up you'll get in the papers - exciting stuff for sure!!!

What an awesome pic. Yes, please let us know what kind of birds they are when you figure it out.

Good luck with the group today. Sounds like a fun kind of day.
