Too Cold? - Started Inside!Wow I've been gone for a week and there is so much reading to catch up on! Guess I better get better organized with my time so I can stay updated. Here's where I am at today on my starts in my "fake" greenhouse. Except the celery is in the house. Today I found some time to get a few quick pics of some stuff I started from seed. First time ever doing this and I must say I am pretty thrilled. I have used every kind of container imaginable and it has been effective to say the least. Now I just have to get them through the next 3 weeks and we can plant. Hallelujah! Not bad for a first timer in my humble opinion. My mouth is watering already for good, fresh veggies. Our budget didn't allow for a real greenhouse this year as we had hoped, so we converted a spare room in our garage to make do. It has worked out quite well, if I say so myself. I'm so anxious to start planting in the real garden. Got to play in the dirt yesterday getting some trellises ready for the stuff I grow vertical. Woohoo - felt so good! Figured I'd try! ( photo / image / picture from Newfpaws's Garden ) This has been an experiment and a half. ( photo / image / picture from Newfpaws's Garden ) Funky container, but great tomato shoots at 10 days. ( photo / image / picture from Newfpaws's Garden ) I'm telling ya, I used anything to plant in I could find! ( photo / image / picture from Newfpaws's Garden ) Round relish tray with herbs. I have one compartment in here that is Dragon's Egg Cucumbers that I just started. They haven't sprouted yet. ( photo / image / picture from Newfpaws's Garden ) More 'maters! ( photo / image / picture from Newfpaws's Garden ) Purple Majesty Millet - should be pretty! ( photo / image / picture from Newfpaws's Garden ) A few squash - but by no means all! Started some Fireball marigolds 3 days ago, have one tiny little shoot already. Red peppers are doing very well in their styrofoam cups. Yarrow and Russian Sage (that I saved seed from last year) going crazy. I am a happy camper right now. This blog entry has been viewed 409 times

Non gardeners can never really understnd just how good it is to feel earth in your hands and watch those first seedlings appear can they? I see that you're a lot like me - using everything available to plant in. The only thing that's sacred around here is hubby's pint mug for his tea!!
Looks like you have plants everywhere!
I do have plants everywhere but in the garden. HaHa But soon...
