The evolution of my gardens and homeWe moved here from western NY 23 years ago. Hubbies job brought us here. These are pictures of our home and yard from day 1 to now. Some are repeats to put them all together. My husband and I did all the building and landscaping ourselves. The siding was the only thing we hired done. People ask me all the time, "what's next"? I never know until it strikes. Back yard. Notice not one flower anywhere. House was brown. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) All trees in back ground are gone now due to storms. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) 2nd or third year of same area. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) House goes blue and gardens grow bigger. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Same area with hot tub. Hot tub is also gone now. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Aggregate patio. Was terrible to keep clean. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Deck gets built over aggregate. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Almost forgot. We built sunroom before deck. And had the house sided after deck . ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Hot tub room becomes part of deck. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Greenhouse added last fall off backside of deck. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Notice fence. That is where all the trees were. Wow! That is a lot of change. You did a great job from beginning to end.
I can't see a lot of improvement from your first photograph - I see masses of it!! What a transformation Donna and what a lot of hard work. You and your hubby should pat each other on the back for all the blood, sweat and (no doubt) tears that went into making you home and garden something to be very proud of. A five star job without a doubt.
That's just awesome. It looks so bright and cheery now. Great job.
I enjoyed seeing this picture select very much, Donna.
